2023 Presidency: Tinubu reveals who succeeds Buhari
The former Lagos state Governor and National leader of All Progressive Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu said, even if he fails to become Nigeria president in 2023, one of his men will be there. Tinubu has been aiming the office of presidency since 2011, he see 2023 as his opportunity to achieve his dream.
But one big obstacle he has is a running mate, according to reports, he wants to pick his running mate from North so as to get their vote, there will not be a massive support if he does not pick from the north. But, the Northern top politicians are Muslims and Tinubu as a Muslim, having a running mate as Muslim can not work in Nigeria presidency.
Onyxnewsng observes that northerners as the majority in Nigeria give more support during election.
A source said, Tinubu wants John Fayemi, the Governor of Ekiti state to contest for president and pick his running mate from the Northern part of the country. Tinubu wanted to contest and pick Dave Umahi, the present Ebonyi state Governor as his running mate, but the plan changed.
Meanwhile, the South Easterners are standing by to take over the office of the presidency, having the believe that year 2023 is their turn.
