Uber passenger jumps off Third Mainland Bridge into Lagos lagoon

Not yet identified man on Saturday jumped into the Lagos lagoon.
The man who had boarded an Uber taxi from Gbagada told the driver to stop on Third Mainland Bridge.
He reportedly said he had a stomach upset and needed to alight.
Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA) spokesman, Nosa Okunbor, who confirmed the incident said rescue efforts has began.
He confirmed that the man claimed he had stomach upset and needed to relieve himself.
“So when the driver parked, he got down from the vehicle, abandoned his belongings jumped into the water.
“The incident happened around 11am and our team has responded. Adding that he can’t confirm if the said man would be rescued alive or dead.
