BREAKING: Coronavirus cases in Nigeria rises to 214

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported five new cases of coronavirus in the country, making the total number of the disease, 214.

Giving updates on the virus, NCDC said, “Five new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: three in Bauchi and two in the FCT, Abuja.

As at 10:10 pm 4th April, there are 214 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Twenty-Five have been discharged with four deaths.”

In a similar development, the NCDC announced and confirmed new cases of coronavirus on Friday.

Analysing the 20 new cases of the raging pandemic confirmed, eleven cases were recorded in Lagos, three cases confirmed in FCT, 3 in Edo, two in Osun and one in Ondo.

Two new deaths have been recorded in Lagos and Edo State, making it four deaths in all, with twenty-five cases discharged.

The Centre for Disease Control had said it committed an error in announcing confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country. Saying the total number of cases in Nigeria as of 10:30 pm on Friday was 209 and not the 210 that was earlier reported.

In another hand, Oluwo of Iwo, ‘Oba’ Abdulrasheed Akanbi, in his latest statement said that the coronavirus pandemic will end in six days.

The Yoruba traditional monarchy in a post through his Instagram page stated that God, the Almighty will sheath his sword in 6 days and the entire world will heal together.

He however urged people to help their neighbour during this season.

The monarch wrote, “Stay safe by keeping the distance and wearing masks, help your neighbour in need by feeding them and always wash your hands whenever you handle money and touch anything, check on your neighbour’s… we in this together until God kabiyesi Olodumare sheaths His sword in 6 days time and we all heal together !! God bless you all abundantly to witness the next power shift in the world that will give glory to only God in the Highest… Adagba ma paro oye Kabiyesi Olodumare Iba re o”
