Edo State opens two laboratories for testing coronavirus

Onyxnews Nigeria reports that the Edo State Government has opened two additional laboratories for testing coronavirus disease.
This reliable online news platform understands that the new created facilities are the University of Benin Teaching (Hospital UBTH) and the Stella Obasanjo Hospital, Benin City, in Edo State, South-South Nigeria.
The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, said the state government has decided to screen over 500,000 citizens across the 18 Local Government Areas of Edo in following weeks.
The governor also said the government was putting more efforts to contain the deadly coronavirus pandemic.
He called on residents to adhere to directives on good hygiene and safety, including regular washing of hands, use of sanitizers and to always keep in mind of social distance order.
Onyxnews Nigeria reported in another development that a Nigerian medical researcher, Prof. Ayodele Adeleye, has claimed to have a cure for the deadly coronavirus(COVID-19) pandemic.
This reliable online news platform gathered that Adeleye, a former lecturer in Microbiology and Principal Staff, Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Shika Zaria, in Kaduna State, revealed this while speaking to journalists at a press conference held in Kaduna on Monday.
Prof Adeleye had announced his breakthrough.
He also claimed that his cure had been subjected to scientific proof, adding that he was ready to treat five coronavirus positive patients free of charge to prove the efficacy of his treatment.
The former lecturer said his three-day coronavirus cure discovery was so sure and expressed assurance that if adopted, the lockdown the country and the world is presently facing due to the deadly pandemic would be over.
