China’s Embassy reveals Chinese doctors whereabouts

China’s Embassy in Nigeria has dismiss claims that the Chinese medical personnel sent to assist the country in its fight against deadly COVID-19 are no where to be found.
The Embassy’s spokesman, Sun Saixiong, confirmed in a statement on Sunday, May 17, that the doctors are still in Nigeria and are working very hard with the nation’s health agencies to save lives.
Saixiong said: “The Embassy of China is not directly involved in what the medics do on a daily basis but we have always been supportive of our companies to fulfil their social responsibilities in Nigeria and we do appreciate their collaboration with their Nigerian brothers and sisters.
“We are aware also that the medics have completed their quarantine period in a cooperative and respectful manner strictly prescribed by the Nigerian Health authorities and manner to help contain the pandemic in the country.”
Nigerians have been asking of the Chinese medical team whereabouts after they were declared nagative to coronavirus.
This had made People’s Democratic Party, PDP, gave a 48 hour ultimatum to President Buhari’s government over the whereabouts of the Chinese Doctors.
The main opposition, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has given the federal government led by President Muhammadu Buhari “a 48-hour ultimatum to declare the whereabouts of the medical team from China who were brought in purportedly to assist the nation in its fight against the spread of the COVID-19.”
