BREAKING: Nigeria records more new cases of COVID-19, no new death, see breakdown for each state

Nigeria has recorded fresh cases of ravaging coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the country, Onyxnews Nigeria reports.

Onyxnews Nigeria obtained that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) revealed that 265 new cases of raging COVID-19 pandemic has been recorded in Nigeria, bringing the total number of cases of the deadly virus to 7526 in the country.

This reliable online news platform understands that the NCDC made the announcement via the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Saturday night, May 23.

NCDC tweeted: “265 new cases of #COVID19; 133-Lagos 34-Oyo 28-Edo 23-Ogun 22-FCT 6-Plateau 5-Kaduna 3-Borno 3-Niger 2-Kwara 2-Bauchi 2-Anambra 2-Enugu 7526 cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria Discharged: 2174 Deaths: 221.”

With the new cases of two hundred and sixty five (265), death cases are two hundred and twenty one (221) and dicharged cases are two thousand, one hundred and seventy four (2174), so the total cases of the disease in Nigeria as at Saturday night, 23 May 2020 is 7526. So far, no new death cases.

Meanwhile, making up the discharged cases of COVID-19, are from Jigawa state.

This reliable online news platform gathered that thirty more COVID-19 recovered patients were discharged from Dutse, Jigawa state capital isolation center after testing negative two times for the virus.

The Commissioner for Health, Dr Abba Zakari, confirmed this to newsmen on Saturday.
