Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases still at the increase in Nigeria

Nigeria has recorded fresh cases of ravaging coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the country, Onyxnews Nigeria reports

Onyxnews Nigeria also reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the announcement that 245 fresh cases of the pandemic has been recorded in Nigeria, bringing the total number of cases of the raging virus to 7261 in the country.

This reliable online news platform understands that the NCDC made the announcement via the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Friday night, May 22.

NCDC tweeted: “245 new cases of #COVID19; 131-Lagos 16-Jigawa 13-Ogun 12-Borno 9-Kaduna 9-Oyo 9-Rivers 9-Ebonyi 8-Kano 7-Kwara 5-Katsina 3-Akwa Ibom 3-Sokoto 2-Bauchi 2-Yobe 1-Anambra 1-Gombe 1-Niger 1-Ondo 1-Plateau 1-FCT 1-Bayelsa 7261 cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria Discharged: 2007 Deaths: 221.”

With the new cases of two hundred and fourty five (245), death cases are two hundred and twenty one (221) and dicharged cases are two thousand, and seven (2007), so the total cases of the disease in Nigeria as at Thursday night, 22 May 2020 is 7261.
