BREAKING: Trump orders investigation into George Floyd’s killing
United States of American President, Donald Trump, has ordered an investigation into the killing of a black man, George Floyd.
He described Floyd’s death as “very sad and tragic” while commiserating with his family on the loss.
Donald Trump, who ordered the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the US Department of Justice to expedite the investigation, promised that justice would be served on the matter.
“At my request, the FBI and the Department of Justice are already well into an investigation as to the very sad and tragic death in Minnesota of George Floyd.
“I have asked for this investigation to be expedited and greatly appreciate all of the work done by local law enforcement. My heart goes out to George’s family and friends. Justice will be served!” Trump tweeted.
Floyd died immediately a Minneapolis police officer assaulted him.
Onyxnews Nigeria reported on Wednesday 27, May that a video clip that recorded a man being guarded by the knee of a Minneapolis police officer placed across his throat just moments before his death has gone viral. The victim in the said video is a black man named George Floyd who died from the assault.
This reliable online news platform obtained a minute, fifty-nine seconds video which was shared online. As seen in the video, the United States Black man, George Floyd could be seen held down by a police officer with his knee, leading to huge outrage on social media.
