US lawyer defends Hushpuppi, makes ‘strong’ claims, his words

Hushpuppi lawyer, Gal Pissetzky has made ‘strong’ claims, and defended his client even with the criminal allegation against him.
The US lawyer also defended Ramon Igbalode Abbad aka Hushpuppi despite strong allegation of fraud and money laundering levelled against him in the US.
Gal Pissetzky maintained that Hushpuppi is “an entrepreneur” who made his money legitimately through “real estate” and his work “promoting brands” as an “Instagram personality.”
Onyxnews Nigeria had reported that Hushpuppi was accused of being involved in a fraudulent activities which defrauded a New York-based law firm of approximately $922,800 through a combination of computer hacking and social engineering.
Pissetzky, however, told Forbes that his client was running a legitimate business and a very legitimate Instagram account, and did not take part in any scam or fraud.
His words “Absolutely not guilty of [the] charges they are accusing him of. Abbas was running a legitimate business and a very legitimate Instagram account and did not take part in any scam or fraud.”
“He’s an entrepreneur. He has real estate involvement … [he’s] an Instagram personality. He was promoting brands and that’s how he was very legitimately making his money,” Pissetzky claimed.
The lawyer went further to speak on Hushpuppi’s relationship with Premier League footballers Tammy Abraham and Ezri Konsa: “Mr Abbas is friends with a lot of people. Somebody who has that many followers – obviously he knows and has friends in a lot of places … it’s all legitimate,” Pissetzky added while speaking to Forbes over Hushpuppi’s fraud.
