The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has revealed the identity of the driver who killed Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot, Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile in an accident.
Onyxnews Nigeria recall that Tolulope Arotile died from head injuries she sustained after being knocked down by her former classmate.
This reliable online news platform had reported that a civilian driver who is now identified as Nehemiah Adejoh, was accompanied by his friends, visited his relations at the Airforce base located in Mando area of Kaduna on Tuesday 14th July and decided to drop off Tolulope whom he spotted on the road inside the base.
He, however, knocked down Flying Officer Arotile while reversing the car.
After many investigation into this incident, it was discovered that Nehemiah Adejoh had no valid driver’s license.
While briefing newsmen on the outcome of the preliminary investigation, Director Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, said the disclosure of the findings became necessary to address wrong insinuations and false conspiracies trending on the social media.
He said the investigations have revealed that there was no foul play in the military pilot’s death as was wrongly insinuated.
