President Buhari makes 2 new appointments

President Buhari has made two (2) new appointments.
Onyxnews Nigeria reports that the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of two top rank officials at the Investments and Securities Tribunal (IST).
The President appointed Barrister Amos Isaac Azi as the Chairman of the Investments and Securities Tribunal (IST).
Azi was a staff of the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) before his appointment as IST Chairman.
A statement from the IST said “his appointment is for an initial period of Five (5) years in accordance with the provisions of Sections 275(2) and 277(1) of the Investments & Securities Act (ISA), 2007. The appointment is with effect from 17th July, 2020.”
Osemwengie ‘s appointment which took effect from 1st of August 2020 is said to be in accordance with the provisions of Section 277 (2) of the Investments & Securities Act (ISA), 2007.
