#Edodecides2020: Ben Bruce congratulates Obaseki

Former Senator, Ben Murray-Bruce, has predicted victory for Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki.

OnyxNews Nigeria reports that the former Senator’s congratulatory message was sent via micro-blogging site, Twitter on Saturday night, Ben Bruce congratulated Obaseki on what he described as an “anticipated victory”. He stated that the election was strongly contested.

“I congratulate @GovernorObaseki of the @OfficialPDPNig on a well-contested election, and most importantly on the clear cut anticipated victory. #EdoDecides”, Ben Bruce tweeted.

For the time being, River State Governor, Nyesom Wike, Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State and Seyi Makinde of Oyo State have commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and security agencies ahead of the announcement of the Edo State governorship election result.

The three Governors also called on the various stakeholders in the election to ensure the collation centres are secured, just after addressing reporters in Benin City, during the governorship election.

The PDP Governors commended INEC and those in charge of security for conducting what they described as a peaceful election in the Edo state.
