“We Are Still Consulting, We Get Back To Federal Government On Friday.”
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), has said its members will decide if the strike will be called off or not.
OnyxNews Nigeria reports that ASUU stated that all the branches of the union which are over 70, will participate in the decision to either call – off the strike or not.
This online news platform understands that the development was made known by ASUU President, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi in a statement released by the Union through its official Twitter handle on Saturday evening.
Another Thing FG Has Agreed To Do For ASUU To End Strike
Prof Ogunyemi said: “We are reporting back to the government on Friday. That is when the consultation will end.”
Recall that the Buhari Government on Friday agreed to ASUU’s demand to pay their members’ salary arrears from February to June through the old salary payment platform, pending when the university lecturers will complete the development of its own payment platform- (UTAS).
