BREAKING: Two Nigerian Politicians Kidnapped
Bandits attacked the town of Ruwan Doruwa in Zamfara State’s Maru Local Government Area (LGA) and kidnapped the two politicians.
Onyxnewsng gathered that the attack took place late on Tuesday night through early on Wednesday morning.
According to reports, the bandits abducted two well-known residents of the area: Hon. Zubairu Abubakar Billy, a former councillor, and Hon. Mohammed Mainasara Dan Dodo.
Suleiman Abubakar Gumi, a representative for the Gummi/Bukkuyum Federal Constituency in Zamfara State, stated on Tuesday that over 30 communities have been looted by terrorists in the state so far in June.
Zamfara Dethrones Top Monarchs Over Banditry
He made this statement while introducing a motion calling for the military to send more troops to the state’s affected areas in order to stop the increasing number of attacks.
Gumi claims that recently, bandits attacked several communities in the state, roosted cattle, destroyed property, burned down police stations and food silos, and killed 16 people while injuring a great number more.
