Kano Police Command Issued Warning Ahead Of APC And NNPP Rally
The Kano State police command recently issued a warning regarding an upcoming rally organized by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).
In a phone conversation with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Hussaini Gumel, conveyed the command’s preparedness to maintain law and order.
To ensure the safety of the public, the command has already initiated extensive patrols within and around the city.
Additionally, armed security personnel have been deployed to key areas in the state to address any potential security threats.
Commissioner Gumel reassured the residents that they should continue their lawful activities without fear of intimidation or harm.
“As far as this command is concerned, we have not permitted the two major political parties to engage in any form of protest in our areas of supervision,” he said.
Collaborating with sister security organizations, the police are focused on guaranteeing the security of lives and property in the state.
In light of this, Commissioner Gumel urged the leaders of the APC and NNPP to honor the peace agreements they have previously signed.
Furthermore, Commissioner Gumel emphasized the importance of parental vigilance in monitoring their children’s activities.
This measure aims to identify and deter any individuals who might disrupt the peace, as these individuals would be apprehended and subjected to legal prosecution.
It is crucial for everyone to act responsibly and contribute to maintaining a peaceful environment in Kano State.
