Why I Deleted My X Handle Account – Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidimma Adetshina Reveals
Miss Universe Nigeria, the recently crowned beauty queen Chidimma Adetshina, shared that she made the decision to deactivate her X account for the sake of her mental well-being.
During her participation in the Miss South Africa competition, Chidimma faced criticism and scrutiny.
The South Africa Department of Home Affairs later disclosed allegations of fraud and identity theft involving Chidimma’s mother.
In an interview with Arise 360, Chidinma expressed that the overwhelming negative comments led her to opt out of the platform, providing her with a sense of relief.
“I had to delete it because I felt like it was too much for me. I’m a comment reader so I read each and every comment; that’s the thing. So for me, I could spend 80% of my day reading comments.
”I’d read the comments and all and it became toxic for me. I use Instagram but I did limit my comment section one time,” Adetshina explained.
Despite this challenging experience, the 23-year-old extended her gratitude to her supporters.
