Donald Trump Appointments Elise Stefanik US Ambassador To UN
The President-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, has appointed Elise Stefanik to serve as the American Ambassador to the United Nations (UN).
Trump has praised Stefanik as a tough, strong, and intelligent fighter.
“I am honoured to nominate Chairwoman Elise Stefanik to serve in my Cabinet as US Ambassador to the United Nations. Elise is an incredibly strong, tough, and smart America First fighter,” Trump said.
Stefanik, who represents New York and serves as the House Republican Conference chair, has been a staunch ally of Trump for some time.
After securing victory over Vice President Kamala Harris of the Democratic Party by a significant margin, Trump will return to the White House.
In a historic move, Trump has selected Susie Wiles, his successful campaign manager, to be his chief of staff, making her the first woman to hold this influential position.
