JUST IN: Monday Okpebholo Sworn-in As Edo State Governor
Monday Okpebholo assumed office as the newly sworn-in governor of Edo State, signaling the conclusion of Godwin Obaseki’s eight-year tenure in the South-South state.
The official inauguration occurred at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, the state’s capital, on Tuesday.
The transition follows the All Progressives Congress (APC) securing the ticket to the Dennis Osadebay House two months ago.
Throughout the ceremony, Okpebholo and his running mate, Dennis Idahosa, took their oaths of office.
