EFCC Under Fire as VDM Alleges Bribery Involving DJ Tunez and Terry Apala

Social media commentator Martins Vincent Otse, widely recognized as Verydarkman (VDM), has leveled serious allegations against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), claiming that some of its officials solicited bribes from Nigerian entertainers. Among those mentioned were Wizkid’s official DJ, DJ Tunez, and singer Terry Apala.
In a video shared online, VDM stated that the EFCC invited DJ Tunez, Terry Apala, and DJ Osas for questioning over allegations related to the abuse of the naira.
He further alleged that the officials demanded sums of $6,000 and $5,000 from each of the entertainers in exchange for their release.
VDM also accused certain EFCC operatives of threatening the entertainers with consequences similar to those faced by crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, if they refused to comply.
While acknowledging that the EFCC’s leadership upholds integrity, he claimed that corrupt officers within the agency were damaging its reputation. He urged the commission’s leadership to take decisive action against internal corruption.
Challenging the EFCC, VDM declared that he was ready to face any repercussions, daring the agency to take action against him. He asserted that he had nothing to hide, emphasizing that he is neither involved in fraud nor engaged in any criminal activity.
He also questioned why the EFCC had not taken action against the Okoya brothers, who were reportedly seen in a viral video engaging in naira abuse.
