Tinubu to Resume Duties in Abuja After Easter

President Bola Tinubu will resume duties in Abuja today after nearly two weeks abroad, his Special Adviser Bayo Onanuga has announced. The presidency emphasized that Tinubu’s absence was temporary and within a previously communicated timeframe.
Onanuga noted, “The President left Paris for London at the weekend and has maintained constant communication with key government officials, overseeing critical national matters, including directives to security chiefs to address emerging threats in some parts of the country”.
The president’s stay abroad drew criticism from opposition leaders, who cited escalating violence in Plateau and Benue states. Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi both called for Tinubu’s immediate return, but the APC maintained that governance continued smoothly in his absence.
