The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released a detailed statistical report on the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The report provides a comprehensive overview of how Nigerian candidates performed in the nationwide examination.
According to JAMB, out of the 1,955,069 candidates who took the 2025 UTME, over 1.5 million scored below 200.
However, the board noted that 4,756 candidates scored above 320, while 7,658 scored between 300 and 319.
In a statement accompanying the data, JAMB revealed that 40,247 underage candidates were allowed to participate to showcase their exceptional abilities.
Of these, only 467 candidates (1.16%) attained scores that meet the board’s criteria for exceptional ability in the UTME, with their performance in the next three evaluation stages still under review.
