JUST IN: US Singer Chris Brown Granted Bail
American R&B artist Chris Brown, formerly in a relationship with superstar Rihanna, was granted bail on Wednesday in an assault case, contingent upon a £5 million bond paid to a UK court.
As part of the bail terms, the judge stated that the 36-year-old singer may proceed with his planned international tour, which kicks off on June 8 in Amsterdam.
However, should he fail to return to the UK—where he is scheduled to perform a series of concerts beginning June 15—the £5 million bond will be forfeited.
