Napoli Emerged Champions Of Italian Serie A
Napoli clinched the Serie A title on Friday with a 2-0 victory over Cagliari, edging out Inter Milan to claim their fourth Italian championship.
Scott McTominay and Romelu Lukaku scored at a jubilant and packed Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, sealing Napoli’s second league title in three years on the final day of the season.
Napoli finished just one point ahead of nearest challengers Inter Milan, who also won 2-0 against Como.
Inter’s opponents were reduced to 10 men just before halftime, following goalkeeper Pepe Reina’s red card in what was his final professional match.
This marks Napoli’s fourth Serie A triumph.
Meanwhile, Antonio Conte made history by becoming the first manager to win the Serie A title with three different clubs having previously done so with Juventus and Inter Milan.
