Salah Wins EPL Player Of The Season Award
Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah was named the Premier League Player of the Season on Saturday.
The Egyptian forward has scored 28 goals and provided 18 assists, playing a key role in helping the Reds secure their second league title.
Salah becomes just the fifth player to win the award twice, having first claimed it in the 2017–18 season.
At 32, he is on course to win another Golden Boot, currently five goals ahead of Newcastle’s Alexander Isak with one game remaining.
His 46 goal involvements are the most ever recorded in a 38-game Premier League season. He could break the all-time record of 47 held jointly by Alan Shearer and Andrew Cole when Liverpool face Crystal Palace at Anfield.
Earlier this month, Salah also picked up the Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year award for the third time.
