Ex-Man Utd Boss Erik ten Hag Appointed As Leverkusen New Manager
Former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag was named the new head coach of Bayer Leverkusen on Monday, according to an announcement by the German club.
Ten Hag takes over from Xabi Alonso, who guided Leverkusen to the Bundesliga and German Cup titles in the 2023–2024 season. Alonso was unveiled on Sunday as the new head coach of Real Madrid, where he will succeed Carlo Ancelotti.
The Dutchman parted ways with Manchester United in October 2024 after a generally underwhelming two-and-a-half-year tenure, during which he won both the League Cup and the FA Cup.
