TRANSFER: PSG Announce Signing Of Super Falcons Captain Rasheedat Ajibade
French club Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed the signing of Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade.
Ajibade joined the French champions on a free transfer following her departure from Spanish side Atlético Madrid in June.
The 25-year-old becomes the second Nigerian international at the club, with midfielder Jennifer Echegini already established in the squad.
The winger began her professional career in Norway with Avaldsnes IL, where she scored 12 goals in 39 appearances before securing a move to Atlético Madrid.
During her five-year spell in Spain, she won the Supercopa de España and the Copa de la Reina.
At international level, Ajibade captained Nigeria’s Super Falcons to victory at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in June and was named Player of the Tournament.
A product of FC Robo Queens, she continues to be regarded as one of Africa’s leading female footballers.
