JUST IN: Tinubu Mourns Late Grace Adayilo, Grants Children Automatic Employment
President Bola Tinubu has approved automatic employment for the four children of the late Dr. Grace Adayilo, Head of the Civil Service of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), who recently passed away.
The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, disclosed this on Saturday at the funeral service held at the National Ecumenical Centre, Abuja, where top government officials, civil servants, family, and friends gathered to bid farewell.
Describing Adayilo’s death as a painful loss, Wike hailed her as a humble, diligent, and committed public servant whose contributions to the FCT Administration will be sorely missed.
“On behalf of the FCT Administration and on behalf of Mr President, I want to send our condolences to her family. Mr President has directed me to give the four children automatic employment because he understands that now there is no breadwinner for them,” Wike said
He praised her dedication to duty, recalling her unwavering passion, sense of responsibility, and pivotal role in ensuring the prompt payment of salaries and entitlements to civil servants. Beyond her official duties, Wike noted, she was also a respected mobilizer within her community.
The minister urged Nigerians to emulate her devotion to service, stressing that life is unpredictable and best lived in service to God and humanity.
Until her death, Dr. Grace Adayilo served as the FCT Head of Service, where she was celebrated as a selfless leader, a mother figure, and a source of inspiration to colleagues, family, and her community. To
