PENGASSAN Ends Strike, Cautions Dangote On Agreement— See New Deal
The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has called off its three-day strike triggered by a dispute with the Dangote Refinery.
Speaking at a press briefing, the union cautioned the refinery’s management against breaching the agreement reached during a marathon meeting convened at the Office of the National Security Adviser.
PENGASSAN President, Festus Osifo, who announced the suspension, warned that the union would respond firmly if the company failed to uphold the deal.
According to report gathered, it is understandable that the disagreement stemmed from the unionisation of some workers at the refinery, which had put the two parties at odds.
