UPDATED: See Naira To Dollar Exchange Rate Today
The Nigerian naira maintained its recent strength on Monday, trading around ₦1,466 per US dollar in the official Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM), while the parallel (street) market, as tracked by AbokiFX — quoted the dollar at roughly ₦1,450.
According to traders, the NFEM rate, a volume-weighted average based on interbank transactions, reflected sustained inflows and moderate liquidity support, which have helped push the dollar lower compared to earlier this month.
In the parallel market, AbokiFX’s live updates showed dealers buying and selling dollars in the mid-₦1,400 range, with quotes mostly between ₦1,445 and ₦1,460 on Monday. This has kept the gap between official and street exchange rates narrower than in previous months.
Market players attributed the naira’s stability to stronger foreign exchange supply from exporters and reduced speculative trading.
However, analysts cautioned that the currency could still face pressure from fluctuations in external inflows and central bank interventions.
