2026 W’CUP Q: Lesotho Vs Nigeria – See Date, Time and Where To Watch
The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to battle the Crocodiles of Lesotho on Matchday 9 as the 2026 FIFA World Cup African qualifiers near their conclusion.
Eric Chelle’s men currently occupy third place in Group C with 11 points from eight games, trailing joint leaders Benin Republic and South Africa by three points. Nigeria’s qualification chances were revived after FIFA docked South Africa three points and three goals for fielding an ineligible player, Teboho Mokoena, in their March 21, 2025, match against Lesotho.
In the earlier encounter on November 16, 2023, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Nigeria were held to a 1-1 draw by Lesotho.
Opponents’ Watch:
With only two matches remaining, the Super Eagles’ qualification fate is no longer entirely in their hands. Group leaders Benin Republic — led by former Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr — will face Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali, while South Africa host Zimbabwe at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
Match Details:
Venue: New Peter Mokaba Stadium, Polokwane, South Africa (FIFA ruled Lesotho unfit to host due to inadequate facilities)
Date: Friday, October 10, 2025
Time: 6:00 p.m. South Africa time (5:00 p.m. Nigeria time)
Where to Watch: Live on SuperSport (DSTV), SportyBet TV, and AfroSport.
