JUST IN: Famous Evangelist Uma Ukpai Is Dead— Reports
Renowned Nigerian evangelist and founder of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, has passed away.
His family confirmed the development in a statement on Monday, announcing that he died on October 6, 2025, at the age of 80.
Describing his death as a “glorious transition” from a life of devoted service to eternal rest, the family celebrated his remarkable legacy.
Rev. Ukpai, often referred to as a spiritual general and a pioneer of faith, spent over six decades spreading the gospel, teaching the Word, and demonstrating the power of God through prophetic ministry.
“He was a faithful soldier of the cross who devoted his life to spreading the gospel with passion and integrity.
“His teachings, prophetic insights, and mentorship have left a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire believers for years to come,” his family said.
His impactful work transformed millions of lives in Nigeria and beyond, inspiring generations and nurturing countless believers in their spiritual journey.
While expressing deep gratitude for his life and service, the family noted that though they mourn his departure, they rejoice that he has “completed his race and now rests in eternal glory.”
They added that details of his burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
