Young Atlas Of Morocco Defeat Argentina To Win Fifa-U20 World Cup

Morocco clinched victory over Argentina in the early hours of Monday to win this year’s FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Reports indicate that Yassir Zabiri opened the scoring for the Young Atlas Lions in the 12th minute of the match.

The 20-year-old Famalicão winger struck again minutes later, extending Morocco’s lead before halftime.

Despite several attempts from Argentina in the second half, no further goals were recorded as Morocco held firm to secure the win after 90 minutes at the Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos.

Recall that Morocco had earlier defeated France in the semi-final, while Argentina overcame Colombia.

Meanwhile, Colombia claimed third place after edging France 1-0 earlier in the day.
