Data released by the FMDQ Securities Exchange and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) show that the Naira opened trading at N1,447.96/$1, reflecting only a slight movement from recent sessions.

Market records reveal a week of relative calm: on Friday, November 28, the NFEM closed at N1,446.90, after trading between N1,445.00 and N1,449.75.

Monday’s session (December 1) saw the rate settle around N1,446.59, underscoring continued liquidity and declining volatility within the official window.

In the unofficial market, the Naira traded at marginally higher levels but remained within a narrow band.

Surveys across Lagos and Abuja put the dollar between N1,465 and N1,470, a range mirrored by figures on digital exchange platforms and international payment services like Wise and Access Bank’s global rate tracker, which showed rates fluctuating between N1,465.33 and N1,469.00 on Tuesday morning.
