Hope Uzodinma makes first appointments as Imo governor, see list
Barely two days after he was declared the winner of the March 9, 2019 governorship election in Imo state by the Supreme Court, Hope Uzodinma, has made his first appointments.
Reports said that the new governor appointed Cosmas Iwu as secretary to the state government, Barrister COC Akaolisa as the attorney general/commissioner for justice designate. Nnamdi Anyaehie was appointed chief of staff and Oguike Nwachukwu as the chief press secretary.
Onyxnewsng recalled that Uzodinma was sworn in on the night of Wednesday, January 15, about 24 hours after the Supreme Court declared him the winner of the election and nullified Emeka Ihedioha’s election.
Meanwhile, Uzodimma on Wednesday, January 15, ordered that the tenures of three former government head in the state be investigated.
It was reported that those whose tenures were affected as a result of the order included Ikedi Ohakim, his successor, Rochas Okorocha and Emeka Ihedioha, who until recently was in charge of the government in the state.
Uzodinma issued the order when he spoke for the first time after his inauguration.
The PDP had, however, called at its secretariat on Thursday at a press conference for immediate review and reversal of the decision of the apex court.
