President Buhari makes fresh appointment for the ‘next level’
Nigeria’s president has made a new appointment for the “next level”.
Onyxnewsng reports that President Buhari approved the appointment of Dr. Bayero Salih-Farah as the new Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Zaria.
Salih-Farah’s appointment was made known in a statement on Tuesday by the Director of Public Affairs at the NITT, Paul Mshelizah and is expected to head the NITT for four years.
The new NITT DG appointment was communicated through a letter signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Transportation, Sabiu Zakari.
The letter which is read in part, says, “I am pleased to inform you that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, by a letter Ref. No. PRES/99/MT/26, dated January 13, 2020, has approved your appointment as the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology, Zaria, Kaduna State.
“The appointment is for four years effective January 13, 2020, in accordance with Section 7 of the NITT Act Cap No. 116 LFN 2010.”
Salih-Farah, was born on March 11, 1964, at Kagoro, Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, northern part of Nigeria.
In 1987, Salih-Farah obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geography from Usman Dan Fodio University formally known as University of Sokoto.
The new NITT boss is also an alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University as well as the NITT.
