Governors hunt for Oshiomhole’s replacement

The trouble going on with the All Progressives Congress took a new dimension on Saturday as the governors opposed to the troubled National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, started the search for his replacement.
Onyxnewsng learnt that consultations had been going on in the states, with meetings planned to take place next week on how to pick his successor.
Former governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari, a one-time Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum; former Senate Leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba; and Minister of State for Agriculture and Rural Development, Heineken Lokpobiri, are among those being pushed as the new APC National Chairman.
But governors and members of the party’s National Working Committee who are ill-fated with the former Edo State governor’s challenges have allegedly gone violent.
the online news platform gathered that a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari have been slated early this week to plead Oshiomhole’s case.
It could be recalled that a High Court in Abuja on Wednesday ordered that the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, be suspended pending the resolution of an applicable suit.
The judge, Danlami Senchi, who led the proceedings gave the order following an application of interlocutory injunction asking the court to suspend Mr Oshiomhole, having been suspended as a member of the APC by the party in Edo State.
