2020 UTME: JAMB releases Tuesday’s results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released Tuesday 2020 UTME result.
The 450,000 candidates sat for Tuesday 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) nationwide, and the results were released on Wednesday.
This was revealed by the board’s Head of Public Affairs, Dr Fabian Benjamin.
Jamb also revealed that fraudsters were extorting money from the candidates to access the results.
Benjamin urged UTME candidate to disregard such false information.
According to the JAMB official, results of other examination days would continue to be released as the examinations were taken.
“The results of the first day were placed on the website and some fraudulent individuals were coping and manipulating it to deceive unsuspecting candidates. Hence, our decision to move it to the mobile platform for candidates to use their unique phone numbers used in registering for the examination to access their results,” he said.
“The result of the over 450,000 candidates who sat on Tuesday will also be released before 12 noon on Wednesday. The results of the examination will continue to be released as the examination is taken.
“In few days, we will be concluding the 2020 exercise and we urge the candidates to be vigilant as many fraudsters who could not operate, given the security measures put in place to secure our system, will want to use every opportunity of information gap to defraud or mislead unsuspecting candidates.”
Recall that JAMB had previously released the results for the candidates that sat for the 2020 UTME on Saturday.

JAMB Boss, Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin urged all concerned candidates to check their profiles for the results. He added that the board is optimistic that the entire exercise will be stress free, as it has worked tirelessly to ensure that 2020 examination process will be one of the best ever conducted in recent times.
His said: “I want to say that the Board is happy with the conduct of the examination on its first day, Saturday, March 14.
“This is not to say that we did not register one or two technical hitches. There is no way anyone can embark on such massive exercise without a few hitches.
“However, the good thing is that, as soon as our attention is drawn to such hitches, we tackle them immediately.
“So, the Board is fully on ground to take on these hitches as they come, but in all, I must tell you, that we are happy with the conduct of the examination so far,’’ he said.
The JAMB Head, Media and Information promised that the Board would continue to ensure quality service delivery in an offer to give every deserving candidate an opportunity to excel.
