Second death case of coronavirus in Nigeria identity revealed

The second death report of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Nigeria has been identified and revealed.

Onyxnews Nigeria understands that Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Enahire, had announced the death on Monday at a press briefing in Abuja, revealing that the death occurred last weekend but refused to disclose the identity of the victim.

Reports yesterday from the South-East, however, unveiled the surprise, pointing in the direction of the CEO of Fancy Hotel, Owerri, Mr. Christogonus Aguwa Osuagwu, who recently returned from Europe, where coronavirus is so much at it peak.

According to a reliable source, “Instead of subjecting himself to test, he flew to Abuja where he died (on Sunday).”

His hotel situated at Umuguma in Owerri “has been shut down . . . by the Imo State Government while all the guests quarantined.

His immediate family whom he visited in Ahiazu Mbaise as soon as he came back from Europe have also been quarantined,” the source also said.

The first death case of COVID-19 in Nigeria was Engr. Suleiman Achimugu, a former Managing Director of the Products and Pipelines Marketing Company (PPMC).

In another development, Nigeria has confirmed 4 fresh COVID-19 cases, with disease rising to 139 cases in Nigeria.

Onyxnews Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed the 4 fresh COVID-19 cases in a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Tuesday evening, March 31.

This online news understands that of the four coronavirus cases recorded by Nigeria and confirmed on Tuesday evening by the NCDC, three were detected in Abuja, and one in Lagos State.

Onyxnews Nigeria reports that 4 new COVID-19 cases confirmed by the NCDC, means that the number of cases of the pandemic in Nigeria has risen from one hundred and thirty-five (135) to one hundred and thirty-nine (139).

The NCDC tweeted: “Four new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 3 in the FCT and 1 in Lagos As at 08:00 pm 31st March there are 139 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Nine have been discharged with two deaths.
