Also, taking a decision on whether to extend the lockdown to other parts of the country affected by the virus.

The sources explained, “The President was supposed to be briefed this evening (Thursday evening), but we had to delay because we are waiting for reports and recommendations from some affected states.
“All things being equal, the President will be briefed on Friday and will take necessary actions.”
“What this means is that there is a likelihood of extension, but it will be done only after due consultation with the states.”
In another development, Onyxnews Nigeria reported earlier that the Lagos State Government has commenced house-to-house search for possible coronavirus cases within the state.
The Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, made this known on Thursday, during a joint ministerial press briefing on COVID-19 pandemic intervention in Lagos State, the commercial city of Nigeria.
Prof. Abayomi said that the COVID-19 case identification campaign would run for two weeks in the first instance across the state.
He stressed that the health workers carrying out the exercise would be identified with the COVID-19 outbreak response tags and letter from the Local Government.
