FG releases list of Nigerians who died of coronavirus abroad

Onyxnews Nigeria reports that Federal Government on Thursday released a list of Nigerians abroad who died of coronavirus (COVID-19).
The Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, released this on Thursday, in a video showing the names, pictures and countries of residence of the dead Nigerians.
In the video, 13 Nigerians abroad have, so far, died of the deadly virus.
Dabiri said on Twitter, “May the souls of our brothers and sisters in Diaspora, who lost their lives to COVID-19, rest in peace. May the Lord heal the world.”

Among the 13 victims, eight died in the United Kingdom while five died in the United States of America.
The victims in the UK names are as follows; Dr Alfa Sa’adu, Carol Jamabo, Dr Kole Abayomi, Bode Ajanlekoko, Adeola Onasanya, Ugochukwu Erondu, Chidinma Olajide and Mmaete Greg while Bassey Offiong, Caleb Anya, Akeem Adagun, Laila Abubakar and Patricia Imobhio died of the disease in US.
Similarly, Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa revealed that the newly identified coronavirus patient in the state died shortly after he was admitted and that contact tracing has commenced for the deceased.
The Governor revealed the death of the patient through his official Facebook page on Thursday evening pointing out that the patient did not present himself early to one of the hospitals with severe symptoms including difficulty in breathing and was given the necessary attention by healthcare professionals.
According to the Governor, after his blood sample was taken, he died. However, his test results came back positive.
Meanwhile Onyxnews Nigeria gathered that the deceased had underlying health cases and had visited Lagos State in the past two weeks.
