General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has sent a powerful message of hope to Nigerians amid the coronavirus infection.

He said it would not be wise for Nigerians to relax the fight against the coronavirus disease.

He revealed this in his Easter Message which was broadcast live on Dove TV, titled ‘A New Beginning.’

He said: “I want to bring good news to someone. I want to tell you my God is not dead; He is alive. Not only is He alive, but He is also in control.

“If you have any doubt at all, the situation in the recent past should show you clearly that He is in control. I want to also advise that we remain on our guard.

“It will be unwise to relax too soon. And when I say relax, I am not talking about being anxious, I’m talking about becoming careless.

“We are not out of the woods yet but we will be. And it won’t be too long but until the whole world has had a compulsory holiday,” the cleric said.

This is coming weeks after the clergyman has revealed that the deadly pandemic will only subside and not die.
Speaking at the studio of the church’s TV station, on Sunday, 22 March.

Adeboye, who also revealed that God had told him earlier in the year that the world would observe a compulsory public holiday, said: “When I told you to fast for 50 days, earlier this year, you didn’t argue with me, you obeyed even when we still fasted last November.

“Earlier this year, God told me that the world would be on a ‘compulsory holiday’. I didn’t know what that means and I didn’t say it out so as not to inflict fear. Maybe people would have blamed me for saying such today,” Pastor Adeboye said.
