BREAKING: Nigeria records 19 fresh cases of COVID-19, affected states

The Federal government of Nigeria has recorded 19 fresh cases of coronavirus, COVID-19.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this announcement on Tuesday evening via a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter.

The Centre for Disease Control tweeted, “Nineteen new cases of #COVID19 have been reported as follows: 14 in Lagos,

2 in FCT,

1 in Kano,

1 in Akwa Ibom,

1 in Edo.

“As at 09:20 pm 14th April there are 362 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. 99 have been discharged with 11 deaths”.

This makes the total number of confirmed cases in the country, 362.

Earlier on Tuesday, 14 April, Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced the discharge of Eight more COVID-19 patients after they tested negative twice to coronavirus at the Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba.

Giving the update, the governor tweeted: “More great news today from our Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba.

“Eight more people: two females and six males have tested negative and fully recovered from #COVID19. They have been discharged to return to their families.

“This brings the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from our facilities to 69.

“Please, let us continue to adhere to all the safety advice from our health experts.
