BREAKING: Coronavirus toll hits 1182 in Nigeria, as Imo State records its first case

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has recorded new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria.
Onyxnews Nigeria reports that the NCDC announced that 87 fresh cases of COVID-19 pandemic have been recorded in Nigeria, as the total number of confirmed cases of the virus in the country hits 1182.
This reliable online news platform understands that the NCDC made this public via the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Saturday night, 25 April, 2020.
The agency tweeted, “87 new cases of #COVID19 have been reported; 33 in Lagos 18 in Borno 12 in Osun 9 in Katsina 4 in Kano 4 in Ekiti 3 in Edo 3 in Bauchi 1 in Imo.
As at 11:55 pm 25th April there are 1182 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Discharged: 222 Deaths: 35,” NCDC added.

Onyxnews Nigeria also reports that, NCDC has announced the establishment of two newly molecular labouratories for testing coronavirus (COVID-19) disease.
The two newly established labs are located at Usman Danfodio University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna.
With this development, the total number of labouratories for testing COVID-19 in Nigeria are 15.
This was known through Twitter by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control. It tweeted: “We’re proud to announce the inclusion of 2 new labs to the molecular laboratory network for #COVID19 at Usman Danfodio University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna.
This brings the number of labs with capacity to test for #COVID19 to 15,” the Agency added.
