BREAKING: COVID-19 lockdown: Banks to open for 6 hours

The presidential task force on COVID-19 has announced that bank branches in Lagos, Ogun and the Federal Capital Territory will be open to customers from Monday, May 4.
The national coordinator of the task force, Sani Aliyu said banking halls would be open to customers between 8am and 2pm.
He made this known during the presidential task force on COVID-19 briefing.
At the same time, the Chairman of the taskforce, Boss Mustapha who is also the Secretary to the Government of the Federation said labouratories for testing COVID-19 has started operations in Kano state.
He said, “I am pleased to inform you that the operationalization of the laboratories in Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital and Bayero University Kano, will considerably improve our response to the pandemic in Kano State.”
The situation in Kano, the technical team of public health experts sent by the PTF has begun the analysation of the mysterious death in the state, working in collaboration with the state’s team.
Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, Tuesday evening, announced the death of three, out of the 10 people who tested positive for coronavirus in the state.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Muhammad Bello.
The statement read thus, “Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State has announced the death of three people as a result of the COVID-19 infection.
“All three victims, according to the governor, had histories of other diseases such as diabetes, asthma, and high blood pressure.”
