BREAKING: Yobe records first case of coronavirus as confirmed cases hit 1728 in Nigeria

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has recorded new cases of coronavirus COVID-19 in Nigeria.
Onyxnews Nigeria reports that the NCDC announced that 196 new cases of ravaging coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic have been recorded in Nigeria, taking the total number of confirmed cases of the virus in the country to 1728.
This reliable online news platform understands that the NCDC made this known via the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Wednesday night, 29 April, 2020.
It tweeted, “196 new cases of #COVID19 reported; 87-Lagos 24-Kano 18-Gombe 17-Kaduna 16-FCT 10-Katsina 8-Sokoto 7-Edo 6-Borno 1-Yobe 1-Ebonyi 1-Adamawa.
As at 11:55pm 29th April- 1728 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Discharged: 307 Deaths: 51,” NCDC added.

The agency also tweeted: as at April 29th 2020, #COVID19 confirmed cases have been reported in 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory Visit covid19.ncdc.gov.ng for a breakdown of confirmed cases in each state and other details.
