Nigeria’s COVID-19 exceeds 6000 as new cases emerge
Nigeria has recorded new cases of ravaging coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the country, as number of cases exceeded 6000.
Onyxnews Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) stated that 216 fresh cases of the deadly pandemic has been recorded in Nigeria, making the total number of cases of the raging virus 6175 in the country.
This reliable online news platform understands that the NCDC made this known via the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Monday night, May 18.
NCDC tweeted: “216 new cases of #COVID19; 74-Lagos 33-Katsina 19-Oyo 17-Kano 13-Edo 10-Zamfara 8-Ogun 8-Gombe 8-Borno 7-Bauchi 7-Kwara 4-FCT 3-Kaduna 3-Enugu 2-Rivers 6175 cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria Discharged: 1644 Deaths: 191.”

With the new cases of two hundred and sixteen (216), death cases are one hundred and ninty one (191) and dicharged cases are one thousand, six hundred and fourty four(1644), so the total cases of the disease in Nigeria as at Sunday night, 16 May 2020 is 6175.
