A reporter of Cable News Network (CNN), Omar Jimenez has been arrested live on air while reporting on the scene of the ongoing protests in Minneapolis.
Also arrested are the camera crew and Omar’s producer. The reason for the arrest is yet to be known.
However, before the arrest, police could be overheard asking Mr Jimenez and his television crew to step backwards.
Footages of the arrest quickly surfaced online.
Jimenez’s colleagues also took to twitter to express outrage over the incident.
They have been very chaotic protest in Minneapolis since a black man named George Floyd was killed by a white police officer who knelt on his neck. Although the officer has been sacked, charges are yet to be filed against him.
