Kellie, wife of Derek Chauvin, the Minneapolis police officer who killed George Floyd has taken final action.

Chauvin has been sacked and charged with murder in the death of George Floyd, and his wife now filing for divorce, after 10 years of marriage.
Derek, who was earlier captured kneeling on Floyd’s neck before his death, was arrested Friday and charged with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.
According to CBS Minnesota, Kellie, a former Mrs Minnesota on Friday in a statement through her attorney, expressed condolences to Floyd’s family.
In the statement by Sekula Law Offices, Derek’s wife, also said she’s filed for her marriage to be disolved.
“I spoke with Kellie Chauvin and her family. She is devastated by Mr. Floyd’s death and her utmost sympathy lies with his family, with his loved ones and everyone who is grieving this tragedy,” the statement read.
“She has filed for the dissolution of her marriage to Derek Chauvin. Ms. Chauvin has no children from her current marriage.
“She respectfully requests that her children, her elder parents, and her extended family be given safety and privacy during this difficult time.”
Floyd’s death had raised continuous public protest across cities in US with citizens in their thousands taking to the social media and streets to protest Floyd’s murder and general police brutality against blacks.
