Coronavirus toll rises in Bayelsa as total exceed 17000 in Nigeria
Coronavirus toll has increased in Bayelsa as Nigeria recorded new cases of coronavirus pandemic. Making the number of disease exceeds 17,000 in the country.
Onyxnews Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the announcement that 490 new cases of COVID-19 pandemic have been detected in Nigeria, making the total number of the viral disease 17148 in the country.
This reliable online news platform understands that the NCDC confirmed 490 new cases of COVID-19 via the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Tuesday night, June 16.
NCDC recorded that 490 COVID-19 cases confirmed on Tuesday night, 142 were detected in Lagos, FCT-60 Bayelsa-54 Rivers-39 Delta-37 Oyo-30 Kaduna-26 Imo-23 Enugu-19 Kwara-17 Gombe-11 Ondo-10 Bauchi-8 Ogun-7 Borno-6 Benue-1.
NCDC tweeted: “490 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-142 FCT-60 Bayelsa-54 Rivers-39 Delta-37 Oyo-30 Kaduna-26 Imo-23 Enugu-19 Kwara-17 Gombe-11 Ondo-10 Bauchi-8 Ogun-7 Borno-6 Benue-1″. The agency added that: “17,148 confirmed 5,623 discharged 455 deaths.”

Meanwhile, with the new cases of four hundred and ninty (490), death cases are four hundred and fifty five (455) and discharged cases are five thousand, six hundred and twenty three (5623), so the total cases of the disease in Nigeria as on Tuesday night, 16 2020 is seventeen thousand, one hundred and forty eight (17,148).
