Primate Ayodele on the news again

For sure millions have been affected by the viral disease, Covid-19.
Every sector of the economy has been affected in one way or the other, though it affects some more.
Onyxnews Nigeria recalls that one of the sectors that have been affected negatively is the churches and mosques. Religious centres have not been able to open since the pandemic started, many clerics too have not been able to reach out to people because there is almost no means to do that.
Although, in christianity, the voice that has been resounding consistently for these periods that churches didn’t open is the leader of INRI Evangelical spiritual church, Primate Elijah Ayodele.
Ever since the pandemic started, so many events have occurred, people have died, the famous have been affected, amidst this period, we had several political troubles that caused tension in the air, and so many other things, surprisingly, none of these things happen without Primate Ayodele mentioning them earlier.
When the coronavirus pandemic started, churches were asked to shut down at some point and Primate Ayodele further spoke against the government for the decision.
He explained that what the country need is prayer and not a close down of churches.
He also said that locking people down will cause so much hunger in the land, increase in criminal activities, banditry and the likes.
He got a backlash after he said all these, people said he wanted offering but the clergyman made it known that the government should put a ban on offering and tithes because that isn’t what he is after, he just wants people to gather and pray so the battle against the deadly virus can be defeated.
